Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Term Time Only - 37.5 hours per week, 41 weeks per year)

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and creative Construction Group Tutor to join a vocational education team supporting young people, many with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners re-engage with education through a hands-on, practical construction curriculum. You will deliver engaging sessions in areas such as bricklaying, joinery, painting, and general construction skills, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs and promote inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, flexible and creative construction-based learning sessions
  • Support learners in developing practical skills, confidence and independence
  • Teach across a variety of settings, including one-to-one, small group and larger vocational environments
  • Plan, prepare and review schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments and progress reports
  • Adapt delivery to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring lessons are inclusive and innovative
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to support learners' development
