About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs in schools across the local area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on pupils' educational, social, and emotional development within a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Working closely with teachers and other education professionals, you will provide tailored support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil participation.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs where appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the class teacher.
  • Assist with personal care where required, following appropriate training.
  • Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
