Spencer Clarke Group are working with a supportive and well-established primary school in Chester who are seeking a confident and motivated Year 6 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible for the remainder of the academic year. This role is ideal for a teacher who is experienced in upper KS2 and confident supporting pupils through SATs preparation, while maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum.
- Prepare pupils effectively for SATs, including Maths, Reading and GPS.
- Track pupil progress and use assessment to inform planning.
- Provide a structured, positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, senior leaders and parents.
- Fulfil all responsibilities of a class teacher, including meetings and parent consultations.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Year 6 or upper KS2.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs expectations.
- Effective behaviour management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
