Are you a passionate, creative educator who loves inspiring children through outdoor learning? We are seeking an enthusiastic Forest School Teacher to join our team from January 2027. This exciting full-time role combines the delivery of engaging Forest School sessions with high-quality PPA cover across our primary school. You will spend most mornings leading Forest School learning experiences before teaching classes across EYFS to Year 5 during PPA cover.
The Role
- Deliver inspiring Forest School sessions that encourage curiosity, resilience and a love of the natural environment.
- Plan and teach engaging lessons across the National Curriculum for pupils from EYFS to Year 5.
- Provide high-quality PPA cover throughout the school.
- Create an inclusive, safe and stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- Assess pupils' progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote our values through outstanding teaching and learning.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification.
- Has proven experience teaching the National Curriculum across the primary age range.
- Has experience of, or a passion for, delivering Forest School or outdoor learning.
- Is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to providing outstanding learning opportunities.
- Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
