Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a public sector organisation in Bristol, supporting the management and improvement of an education property portfolio. This is a key role within a Corporate Landlord style function, overseeing building works, compliance, condition surveying and planned maintenance across school and education facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing building repair, refurbishment and maintenance projects across an education estate
- Undertaking condition surveys and advising on priorities and programmes of work
- Managing budgets and financial control for maintenance and capital works
- Administering and overseeing contracts and contractor performance (Hard FM environment)
- Supporting statutory compliance and ensuring works align with relevant legislation and best practice
- Taking on CDM responsibilities, including Designer duties where required
- Working with relevant CAFM/asset management systems and documentation tools
About you:
- Professionally qualified to corporate membership level (CIOB or equivalent), or able to demonstrate equivalent competence
- Strong project delivery background within building maintenance, repairs and refurbishment
- Good working knowledge of building contracts and financial management
- Confident with compliance and CDM regulations in a live operational estate
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
