A secondary school in the Bootle area is seeking a dedicated and organised Attendance Officer to join their pastoral and administrative team. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily student attendance and punctuality across the school
- Follow up absences with parents/carers via phone, email, and letters
- Maintain accurate attendance records using the school MIS system
- Work closely with pastoral teams, safeguarding staff, and senior leaders to improve attendance levels
- Produce attendance reports and identify trends or concerns
- Support with attendance meetings, home visits (where required), and intervention plans
- Ensure attendance procedures are in line with school policies and statutory guidance
