We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and committed to making a positive difference in students' lives. This role is to support one of our partner schools based in Blyth, Northumberland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation
Requirements
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)
  • Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) is an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
