Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming primary school in Blackpool seeking an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with experience in care, youth work, support work, childcare or residential care who wants to transition into education.
The Role
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to engage and progress.
- Work alongside the class teacher to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Offer emotional and behavioural support to pupils with SEND/SEMH needs.
- Help with classroom activities, preparation and general daily routines.

- Experience working with children or young people in any setting (school, care, support, youth work).
- Nurturing, calm and resilient personality.
- A strong interest in education and supporting children with additional needs.
- Willing to learn and develop through training and mentoring.
