About the Role
This is more than just teaching recipes - it's about shaping how young people understand nutrition, sustainability, and the science behind what they eat. You'll deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that spark curiosity and build lifelong skills. You will be teaching food technology across all year groups between KS3 and KS4. The role will be 4 days per week and will be Monday to Thursday.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working days are 4 per week (typically Monday - Thursday)
- Designing and delivering exciting Food Technology lessons across Key Stages
- Inspiring students to explore cooking, nutrition, and food science
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating kitchen/classroom environment
- Encouraging creativity, independence, and teamwork
- Bringing modern food trends and sustainability into your teaching
What We're Looking For
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) or strong subject specialist
- A genuine passion for food, health, and education
- Confidence in managing practical lessons in a kitchen environment
- Previous experience teaching food technology
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to innovate
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- DBS on the update service, or willingness to get one
