Are you experienced in working directly with Children and Families and seeking your next opportunity? We are collaborating with a Local Authority in Trafford, as they are in search of a Family Contact Worker to join their Children and Families Team!

In this role, you will be required to carry a caseload of vulnerable children and young people (0-16 aged) and their families that requires supervised contact, to ensure safeguarding of the children and young people is a priority at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating family contact sessions, conducting home visits, and working directly with children.
  • Plan and hold contact sessions for cases of children and young people who are looked after by the Local Authority in either the Contact Centre in Trafford, in the community, or outside of the borough as required.
  • Organise and co-ordinate contact activities e.g. cinema within the community ensuring that appropriate Risk Assessments are in place and adhered to.
  • Attend Court to give evidence on the nature of contact sessions, the level of attachment and the relationship between the child and parent/significant other when required.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth and Community Studies).
