Spencer Clarke Group are working with a supportive primary school in Bebington who are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their specialist SEND Base on a full-time basis. This role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs and other complex learning needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes in a structured and nurturing environment. The school are looking for a reliable and committed individual who can provide consistency and build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

The Role:

  • Support pupils within a specialist SEND Base.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs.
  • Assist pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and additional learning needs.
  • Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver adapted learning activities.
  • Encourage pupil independence, confidence and engagement.
  • Help maintain a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Liaise effectively with teachers, support staff and external professionals where required.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND within an educational, care or support setting.
  • Knowledge of Autism, ADHD and communication needs.
  • Understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applications without relevant SEND support experience may not be shortlisted.
