We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable School Cook/Chef to join a school kitchen in Barrow-in-Furness on a temporary basis from September. The role includes:
- Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Following food safety and allergen procedures
- Working efficiently as part of a small kitchen team
- Providing a friendly and professional service
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a school, care, nursery or similar catering environment
- Food Hygiene certificate
- Knowledge of allergens and food safety
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
