SEND Auditor £300 – £330 per day 3-6 month initial contract with a view to being extended Hybrid – 2 days per week in office – Central London Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced SEND Auditor to assist our local authority client in Central London in improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The SEND Auditor will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality and legal compliance of SEND processes and provision, particularly Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), by conducting audits, analysing findings and supporting continuous improvement. Essential Requirements: Local Authority experience and an in-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and the SEND Code of Practice (2015). Proven experience in auditing, quality assurance and evaluating SEND processes and/or EHCPs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement. Duties include but not limited to: Quality-check EHCPs to ensure they are legally compliant, person-centred, and outcome-focused. Ensure that all statutory processes are completed within legal timeframes to ensure that children and young people are receiving timely support. Identify areas for improvement, producing clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations. Skills required: Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple audits whist meeting strict deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to produce clear audit reports and engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
