EHCP Coordinator

EHCP Coordinator £290 per day 8 month initial contract Fully remote working – London Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced EHCP Coordinator to manage the process of writing, maintaining and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Working for a Local Authority in London within the Annual Reviews team, as EHCP Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring that the provision detailed in the EHCP remains appropriate and effective. Essential Requirements: Local Authority experience and a working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014. Given the volume of cases and the statutory timelines, strong organisational and time-management skills are essential. Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders including schools, parents and children and young people with SEND. Duties include but are not limited to: Co-create EHC Plans with families, ensuring they remain person-centred and reflect the needs, preferences and goals of the child or young person. Act as an empathetic first point of contact, providing guidance and support for families of children and young people with complex educational needs. Organise and manage the annual review process for each EHCP to assess progress, make necessary adjustments, and ensure that the plan remains appropriate. Skills required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to build and maintain trusting relationships with education settings and young people and their families. Ability to prioritise and multitask, coordinating multiple cases and tasks simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines.
