In this role, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries, processing referrals, providing information and advice, and ensuring the operation of the service by liaising with internal and external partners., You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and written communication and assisting with document completion.

  • Process referrals, collect additional information as needed, and ensure accurate recording of client needs.

  • Provide information and advice to the public, including vulnerable groups (e.g., older people, those with physical disabilities), liaising with internal and external services and partners.

  • Manage routine administration tasks (emails, letters, etc.), and ensure customers receive timely responses.

  • Signpost clients to relevant services and ensure that all duties align with equal opportunities and diversity policies

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience handling inquiries, complaints, and service requests via telephone, email, and written communication.

  • Experience processing referrals, gathering additional information, accurately recording client details, and managing routine administrative tasks such as emails and letters.

  • Experience working with internal teams and external agencies, supporting operational duties, and providing information and advice to vulnerable groups.

  • Experience mentoring new or temporary staff, adhering to safeguarding procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and contributing to team improvement and feedback processes., * processing referrals: 2 years (required)

  • managing routine administrative tasks: 2 years (required)

  • working with internal teams & external agencies: 2 years (required)

  • working for a local authority: 1 year (required)
