Spencer Clarke Tutors is seeking experienced and compassionate SEND Outreach Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition and educational support to learners across Durham.
You will work with students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, school avoidance, and EHCP-supported learners, helping them re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and other subjects.
- Adapt lessons to meet individual SEND requirements.
- Support academic progress, confidence, and engagement.
- Provide session feedback and progress updates.
Requirements
- Experience working with SEND learners.
- Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or education support experience.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
