Building Surveyor
Location: North West
Rate: Β£36 Per hour
Contract: 3 - Months Ongoing
Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a local authority to appoint a Building Surveyor within their Building Surveying Team.
This role will support the delivery of a varied portfolio of building related projects across the authority, taking responsibility for design, specification and project delivery to agreed timescales, budgets and standards.
Responsibilities include
* Producing designs, specifications and scopes of work for building refurbishments and minor works. Including extensions, roofing, windows, fencing, flooring and decoration
* Leading the delivery of medium-sized building projects, ensuring quality and programme are maintained
* Supporting condition-led capital schemes and wider planned programmes as required
* Managing risks, issues, project reporting and budget forecasting to keep stakeholders informed
* Working closely with multi-disciplinary design and construction colleagues and internal services across the council
* Providing technical advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
* Attending and supporting meetings with clients and senior surveying colleagues
About you
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, with relevant experience
* Strong building design and delivery experience, including AutoCAD
* Confident managing building projects and working to deadlines and budgets
* Good working knowledge of building specifications and relevant regulations including Building Regulations and planning requirements
* Comfortable working across multiple priorities and applying professional judgement
* Strong communication skills and experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
