SEND Business Support Officer

We are looking for 3x experienced SEND Business Support Officers to support a Local Authority in the North West.

Hours: 2x Full-Time 5 days | 1x 2 days per week

Rate of pay: Β£180 per day

Contract: 3-6 months interim

About the Role

The successful candidates will have previous experience working within a SEND / Education / Local Authority environment, with a good understanding of statutory SEND processes and the administrative requirements around EHCPs.

You will provide efficient and accurate business support to SEND Caseworkers and wider teams, helping to ensure information is processed promptly and statutory timescales are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and business support to the SEND/EHCP team.
  • Supporting the coordination and administration of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Processing referrals, assessments, annual reviews, amendments and other SEND-related documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and ensuring information is recorded correctly.
  • Liaising with SEND Caseworkers, schools, parents/carers and other professionals where required.
  • Uploading and processing reports, correspondence and professional advice.
  • Monitoring actions and deadlines to support compliance with statutory SEND timescales.

Key requirements:

  • Previous SEND / Local Authority experience
  • Good understanding of statutory SEND processes and EHCPs
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Experience using Liquid Logic is highly desirable
  • Confident managing sensitive information and supporting SEND Caseworkers
