We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic cover supervisor to join our team. Although not actively teaching, candidates need to have the skills and confidence required to keep a class motivated and focused so they can work on the activities set and prepared for them.
The role requires supporting students as they work through the lesson and to understand how to help them to complete tasks, where needed. Being a Cover Supervisor requires flexibility, as lessons are in a large range of subjects, providing lots of variety.
Whilst not always in the classroom, the cover supervisor will help with invigilation, keeping the school and classroom displays up to date and a range of other activities. No previous teaching experience is necessary, but it is essential that all applicants demonstrate the necessary attributes to work with children.
All subjects have outstanding planning in place, including resourced presentations and activities for all lessons. This means that cover supervisors facilitate the planned curriculum content for all lessons.
