Overview
Our client, a leading developer delivering complex, design-led, mixed-use regeneration projects across the UK, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to join their team in the North West. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping places with purpose—delivering projects that are commercially sound, socially responsible, and design-focused.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead the strategic delivery of major regeneration schemes from inception through to completion, working across all project stages including feasibility, planning, procurement, delivery and handover. You will manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget, and the highest quality standards. You’ll play a key leadership role within a collaborative, purpose-driven team, helping to unlock complex sites and bring transformative developments to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of major mixed-use regeneration and development projects, often with a value of £50m+
- Oversee project design development, planning submissions and programme management
- Appoint, brief and manage external consultant teams (e.g. architects, engineers, planners, QS)
- Coordinate with internal teams including development, commercial, legal and finance
- Proactively manage project risks, budgets, programmes and stakeholder relationships
- Support land acquisition, viability assessments and commercial appraisals
- Lead on contractor procurement and construction phase delivery
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members
- Represent the client in meetings with local authorities, partners, investors and community stakeholders
About You
- Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale development or regeneration projects
- Strong experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams across all RIBA stages
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills
- Commercially astute with good understanding of development appraisals and contracts
- Ability to navigate planning processes and stakeholder engagement with confidence
- Degree-qualified in a relevant field (e.g. Project Management, Construction, Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering)
- MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM or similar professional accreditation preferred
- A passion for design quality, sustainability, and placemaking
