Our client is a UK market leader, who have rare opportunities to join their established Estates team. We are seeking interest for a Senior Estates Surveyor position, to take direct ownership for a significant predominantly leasehold property portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Estate management of a varied leasehold property portfolio.
  • Undertake periodic lease renewal and rent reviews.
  • Liaise with company Solicitors on lease clauses and associated legal matters.
  • Draft internal fitouts/layouts with external contractors and associated trades.
  • Approve rents/service charge/building insurance costs prior to payment.
  • Maintain the company property database ensuring property data is up to date.
  • Source properties for new locations and proposed relocations agreeing Heads of Terms to company requirements.
  • Dispose of vacant properties through natural lease expiry/assignment/sub-lease options.
  • Manage building repairs and maintenance works.

The Person:

  • Hold an RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accredited degree and ideally be a qualified RICS member.
  • Existing lease advisory, asset management or estates experience would be advantageous.
  • Hold a full clean driving licence to enable UK wide travel to visit individual locations as and when required.
  • Liaise with other departments to include Finance, Internal Audit and Health and Safety.

The successful applicants will be required to demonstrate some detailed experience of estates issues, including rent review/lease renewal and property management. Further experience will be gained in acquisition and disposals, business rates, alterations and dilapidations, and green lease issues.
