The Director of Project Management (DPM) is an essential member of the leadership team. The DPM will be responsible for the management of the regional project management team and have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of development projects. This is an exciting, rewarding and challenging role. The DPM will have experience in delivering complex, long-term and sustainable places, alongside excellent management and leadership ability. The DPM will work closely with the Regional Director and wider leadership team to drive positive change and the successful delivery of developments.
Responsibilities
- Resource Management
- Day-to-day management of the regional Project Management team
- Management of project management resources
- Recruitment
- Team appraisals
- Developing training and events plans for the Project Management team
- Project Review
- General overview of all projects
- Attendance at scheme reviews
- Attendance at QF reviews
- Chairing of all pre-commencement reviews
- Monitoring of project performance against QF targets
- Health & Safety oversight
- Design and Branding
- Monitoring regional design trends, market requirements and continuous review of all scheme design proposals
- Development of design guidelines / standards and ensuring implementation across regional schemes
- Working with the marketing team on branding and ensuring implementation across regional schemes
- Business Development
- Raising the profile of the regional team (e.g. attendance at panel events, press articles)
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with partners, consultants and contractors
- Overseeing all new bids (project management and design elements)
- Sustainability / Responsible Business
- Develop and oversee the implementation of ESG strategy
- Establish and maintain relationships with key industry bodies (e.g. UKGBC, LETI, BBP)
- Procurement and Supply Chain
- Development of procurement and supply chain strategy
