The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 ÂŁ per year.

You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the construction site to achieve successful completion of the project in terms of health & safety, quality, programme and cost.

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the correct processes are in place and are being implemented to achieve project completion within cost and time parameters, to the required quality standards, striving for zero defects.
  • Ensure that company health, safety & environmental policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken on site complies with the current construction issue drawings, specifications, contract documents and building regulations.
  • Produce short‑term programmes based around the main project contract / construction programme.
  • Manage on‑site subcontractors through leading project‑based meetings and ensuring subcontractors are hitting targets.
  • Manage the relationship with the client to the best effect.
  • Ensure cost effective production in line with budgets by ensuring that the work is undertaken is in full accordance with the cost provision allocated.
  • Ensure your team are fully skilled and trained to do their role, including health and safety process and procedures.
  • Provide strong and visible leadership and demonstrate through your own positive actions your commitment to the company values and ethics.

To be successful in this role you will bring people management and leadership skills, as well as:

  • Comply with Company Policies and Procedures at all times.
  • Ensure processes are in place to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, striving for zero defects.
  • Enforce Company Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all staff, subcontractors, and visitors are appropriately inducted.
  • Conduct Daily Activity Briefings and forward plan work to consider Health & Safety.
  • Maintain and update the Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP).
  • Monitor Health, Safety, Security, Housekeeping, and Welfare standards, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Keep up‑to‑date Health & Safety records, including statutory inspection registers.
  • Issue and manage Permits to Work, ensuring completion sign‑off.
  • Assist with Safety Audits and Stand Downs as required.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly to the H&S Manager, Operations Manager, and Regional Director.
  • Review subcontractor Risk Assessments/Method Statements and ensure comments are addressed before works commence.
  • Ensure all work complies with construction drawings, specifications, contract documents and building regulations.
  • Carry out inspections per the Project Quality Plan using relevant ITPs and checklists, fully completing and recording all information.
  • Highlight quality issues to subcontractors, issue non‑compliance notifications, and ensure timely closure.
  • Liaise with Building Control, client Clerks of Works, and other third parties to ensure inspections are completed and issues resolved.
  • Complete the weekly site diary.
  • Produce short‑term programmes aligned with the main project Contract/Construction Programme.
  • Monitor site progress against the programme and report delays to the Project Manager/Senior Site Manager.
  • Attend Pre‑Let Package meetings with subcontractors.
  • Conduct weekly look‑ahead meetings to review past performance and set short‑term targets, including material procurement and resource planning.
  • Run coordination meetings to ensure efficient execution of works.
  • Assist with post‑completion project processes as required.
  • Ensure cost‑effective delivery within budget allocations.
  • Identify and highlight value engineering opportunities.
  • Attend Project Review meetings and act on items with financial implications.
