To support the work-winning function through leading the end-to-end development of high-quality, competitive proposals ensuring consistent application of best practice while driving stakeholder engagement and team performance.

Core responsibilities:

  • Manages allocated submissions (bids, PQQs, frameworks etc) from launch to submission, taking ownership of end-to-end delivery.
  • Develops and maintains bid programmes, trackers and timelines.
  • Coordinates inputs from subject matter experts, ensuring clarity and accountability.
  • Identifies and escalates risks or issues appropriately.
  • Operates with guidance and support from Senior Proposals Managers on more complex opportunities.
  • Contributes to the development and application of win strategies.
  • Ensures responses align with customer priorities and evaluation criteria.
  • Seeks input and guidance on strategic positioning where required.
  • Drafts and develops clear, structured and customer-focused responses.
  • Supports internal review processes, implementing feedback effectively.
  • Ensures submissions are compliant, accurate and well-presented.
  • Builds effective working relationships across Preconstruction and operational teams.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will bring your enthusiasm and determination as well as:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a bid writing role, ideally within construction or similar industry.
  • Understanding of public sector and framework procurement processes.
  • Must be able to manage own workload effectively and take ownership of the full bid lifecycle from initial review to submission.

  • Excellent writing, proofreading and communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple PQQ and bid submissions simultaneously.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Confident working collaboratively with technical and operational teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and graphic design software (Adobe InDesign).
