Speedy Freight is looking for a proactive and organised Transport Controller to support our busy National operations from Knutsford. This is a great opportunity for someone with transport, fleet or logistics experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being at the centre of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing daily transport and fleet coverage
  • Supporting drivers with operational queries
  • Allocating jobs to drivers and subcontractors, managing driving hours accurately and in real time
  • Resolve escalated operational issues quickly and professionally
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of drivers
  • Maintaining effective communication with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Monitoring vehicle issues and servicing requirements
  • Working closely with customer service teams to maintain service levels
  • Supporting national contracts and branch operations
