Our Branch based in Colchester depot is growing, and we're looking for a motivated & driven Telesales Executive / Junior Business Development Manager to support our sales function and help generate new business opportunities. This is an office / field based role focused on lead generation, outbound activity, and supporting business growth. You'll play a key part in building the sales pipeline, engaging new prospects, and supporting senior team members in converting opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers to generate new business opportunities
- Qualify leads and book appointments for senior sales team members
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers
- Develop an understanding of customer needs and promote tailored logistics solutions
- Support the onboarding of new customers
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
- Follow up on inbound enquiries and marketing leads
- Work closely with the depot and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Consistently work towards and achieve activity and sales targets
- Previous experience in telesales, internal sales, or a fast-paced customer-facing role
- Exposure to logistics, transport, or courier environments is highly desirable
- Confident communicator with a great phone manner
- Resilient, motivated, and target-driven
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Eager to learn and develop a career in sales
