Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with various tools and equipment. This role involves assisting mechanics in the repair and maintenance of machinery, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Duties
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery.
- Support mechanics with heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist mechanics in vehicle maintenance and repair tasks
- Retrieve and organize tools, equipment, and parts
- Help with tire changes, oil changes, and other routine services
- Clean and maintain the workshop and tools
- Drive vehicles in and out of the shop as needed
- Follow safety protocols and shop rules
- Perform other general labor tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in automotive work
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
