Position Overview: Hire Desk Controller – Leyland – Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm – 37.5 hours per week.

Location: Aston Way, Leyland, PR26 7UX.

Division: Trading.

Contract type: Permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the central point of contact for customers and coordinate the full hire process from enquiry through to delivery and collection.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Work closely with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled efficiently, equipment availability is maximised and service levels remain high.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Adaptable approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience within the hire industry or a similar sales/operational environment.
  • Capability to support the business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (37.5 hours per week). This role is not eligible for Speedy Work Life Balance (SWLB).
