Responsibilities
- Inspecting, testing, servicing and repairing low-level access equipment in line with LOLER, PUWER and Speedy standards.
- Carrying out pre-hire and post-hire checks to ensure all equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
- Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs where required.
- Accurately completing service and inspection records using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ensuring equipment is prioritised effectively to support depot operations and customer demand.
- Maintaining excellent health and safety standards within the workshop and on site.
- Supporting asset availability by working closely with depot and operations teams.
- Occasionally attending customer sites to carry out inspections, breakdowns or servicing if required.
- Delivering excellent customer service and representing Speedy in a professional manner at all times.
- Actively supporting Speedy's ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver through safe, sustainable and responsible working practices.
Requirements
- Previous engineering or workshop experience, ideally within access, lifting, mechanical or hire equipment environments.
- Good understanding of health and safety standards and compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic and positive, proactive approach.
- Ability to think on your feet and problem-solve effectively.
