We are looking for an experienced Powered Access Engineer to join our team at our Wellington depot. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, repairing and refurbishing our powered access fleet, ensuring our equipment is safe, reliable and ready for our customers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing powered access equipment
- Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults
- Completing refurbishment work and preparing equipment to go back on hire
- Carrying out inspections and identifying required repairs
- Accurately estimating repair requirements
- Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic drawings
- Ensuring equipment meets required safety and quality standards
- Completing relevant service and maintenance documentation
- Working closely with the wider depot team to ensure equipment is available when our customers need it
- Maintaining a safe, organised and professional workshop environment
What we're looking for:
- Previous engineering experience working with powered access equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- An understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
- The ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings
- Good attention to detail when identifying and estimating repairs
- A strong approach to health and safety
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy engineering team
- CAP registration would be an advantage, but it isn't essential
