About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join Speedy Hire at our Head Office in Haydock as a Front of House Receptionist on a temporary basis. This role is to provide ongoing cover on a rolling 4-week contract, supporting the Reception team on Thursdays and Fridays. This is a key front-facing position, ensuring all reception and post room functions run smoothly, while delivering a professional and welcoming experience for visitors and callers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional front of house reception service, meeting and greeting visitors
- Handle incoming calls, take messages, and direct enquiries appropriately
- Manage and update visitor logs, calendars, and parking arrangements
- Receive, check, and sign for deliveries and parcels
- Order office supplies including stationery, business cards, and catering for meetings
- Support with post room duties, including distributing incoming mail across multiple buildings
- Manage outgoing mail, ensuring timely processing
- Ensure all post room equipment is maintained and report any issues
- Maintain high standards across all reception areas at all times
About You
- Previous experience in a receptionist or similar front-facing role
- Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload effectively
- High level of attention to detail
- Flexible and reliable with a positive, can-do attitude
