About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly, organised and customer-focused People Services Administrator to join our People Team. This role plays an important part in delivering a positive colleague experience across the business by providing professional, accurate and responsive People administration support. Working within our Shared Services function, you’ll support colleagues and managers across a variety of People processes, helping to ensure every interaction is handled with care, professionalism and efficiency. Based in a hybrid working environment, you’ll spend two days a week at our Haydock office, working closely with the wider People team in a collaborative and supportive setting.

What you’ll be doing

As a People Services Administrator, no two days are the same. You’ll support the full colleague lifecycle and help deliver a smooth and welcoming experience for colleagues across the business.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Maintaining and updating employee records and People systems with a high level of accuracy
  • Responding to colleague queries via phone and email in a professional and supportive manner
  • Processing colleague lifecycle changes including new starters, leavers and contract amendments
  • Supporting recruitment activity including interview coordination and candidate communication
  • Coordinating onboarding and induction processes to ensure a positive new starter experience
  • Preparing People documentation including contracts, offer letters and employment-related correspondence
  • Supporting payroll and reward administration processes with accurate colleague data
  • Identifying and correcting data quality issues to maintain reliable records
  • Supporting colleague engagement initiatives and wider People team activities
  • Acting as a first point of contact for People systems and administration queries
  • Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies

Essential Experience And Skills Include:

  • Previous experience working within a HR Shared Services or People Administration environment
  • A strong customer service mindset with a passion for delivering a positive colleague experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information professionally
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry, formulas and lookups
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook
  • Experience using People systems and databases
  • Strong problem-solving and administrative skills
