We are currently looking for a Category C Driver to join our busy Erith depot. This is a vital frontline role, supporting our customers by delivering and collecting hire equipment safely, efficiently, and on time. As one of the key faces of our business, you will represent Speedy’s vision, values, and commitment to outstanding customer service, building strong relationships with customers in the local area.
About the Role
As a Driver Category C, you will play an important part in keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring customers receive the equipment they need, when they need it. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering and collecting hire equipment across the local area
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and in line with procedures
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on time
- Providing a professional, friendly, and helpful service to customers
- Completing delivery paperwork and system updates correctly
- Working closely with depot and transport teams to meet operational demands
- Supporting the delivery of Speedy’s ESG Strategy
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a reliable, positive, and customer-focused driver who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive team. You will ideally have:
- A valid UK Category C driving licence
- Good knowledge of the local area
- Experience driving commercially within the UK
- A strong focus on customer service and professionalism
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
