Refurb Engineer – Newport – Monday to Friday – 07:00 – 16:00 – 40 hours per week

Based in the depot in Newport, We are looking to recruit a Refurb Engineer. The overall purpose of this role is to provide overall responsibility for the repair, maintenance, testing and inspection of hire fleet equipment, predominantly light plant and power equipment that is either on hire/on-site/at depots or returned to workshops by depots in the region, ensuring that all work undertaken is safe and complies with Speedy safety standards and is in line with manufactures specifications.

  • Previous mechanical engineering experience is essential, ideally gained within the hire industry or other engineering field
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • Commercially aware
  • Able to understand the priorities, plan and organise the work and manage own time to deliver within the expected timescales
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver.
