Based in Stockton, this role supports a modern fleet of equipment including diesel and hybrid generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS), distribution boards, transformers, load banks, cabling systems, and lighting towers ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted power for our customers.

The Role Mobile Engineer Working at customer sites, the Mobile Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and supporting our power equipment fleet. You will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is serviced, compliant, and fully operational, while also responding quickly to breakdowns and faults during critical overnight periods. Your responsibilities will include working on:

  • Diesel, Stage V and hybrid generators (from small portable units to large-scale MW sets)
  • Battery storage units and alternative energy solutions
  • Electrical distribution equipment (distribution boards, transformers, switchgear)
  • Cabling systems and temporary power networks
  • Load banks for testing and commissioning
  • Lighting towers and site power accessories

Key duties include fault finding, diagnostics, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive repairs minimising downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Need:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience (ideally within power generation, plant hire, or similar industries)
  • Experience with generators or temporary power systems is highly desirable
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital service reporting systems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently on night shifts and as part of a wider team
  • Commitment to supporting ESG initiatives, including sustainable and low-emission power solutions
