We're looking for an experienced and passionate Learning & Development Manager to lead our People Development function across the UK and Ireland. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving our learning, talent, leadership, succession, emerging talent and digital learning strategies. Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll play a key role in building workforce capability, developing future talent pipelines and embedding a culture of continuous learning.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and develop our People Development, Talent Development, Emerging Talent, Digital Systems and eLearning teams.
  • Deliver and continuously improve learning, talent and organisational development strategies aligned to business priorities.
  • Oversee succession planning, talent management and leadership development programmes across the organisation.
  • Drive the ongoing success of our Graduate Programme and apprenticeship initiatives.
  • Maximise apprenticeship levy and CITB funding opportunities.
  • Manage learning and talent budgets, ensuring investment delivers measurable return on investment.
  • Partner with senior leaders and People Partners to identify capability gaps and future skills requirements.
  • Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of leadership capability programmes.
  • Design, develop and facilitate training programmes where required.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of engaging digital learning content and eLearning solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers, educators and funding partners.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness, engagement and business impact.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and development across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a strategic learning professional who combines strong leadership capability with hands-on expertise in learning and talent development.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience leading learning, talent or organisational development teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to align learning initiatives to business objectives.
  • Experience designing and implementing competency frameworks and career pathways.
  • Significant experience designing and delivering engaging learning solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
  • Experience managing budgets and demonstrating ROI on learning investment.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship programmes and levy funding.
  • Experience managing eLearning content and digital learning platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

Desirable

  • Qualified Coach.
  • Knowledge of Insights Discovery.
  • Experience working within multi-site operational environments.
