Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (07:00 16:30) Speedy, the UKs leading hire provider, is seeking a Small Tools Fitter to join our Newport depot team.
This is a key role within our operations, responsible for ensuring a wide range of mechanical and access equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for hire.
You will play a vital part in maintaining asset reliability, protecting customer safety, and supporting operational efficiency by ensuring only fully compliant, well-maintained equipment leaves the depot.
Inspecting, testing, servicing and repairing mechanical and access equipment in line with LOLER, PUWER and Speedy standards.
Carrying out pre-hire and post-hire inspections to ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs efficiently and accurately.
Completing service and inspection records using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
Maintaining excellent health and safety standards within the workshop and on customer sites.
Supporting asset availability by working closely with depot and operations teams.
Attending customer sites when required to carry out servicing, breakdown response or inspections.
Previous engineering or workshop experience, ideally within mechanical, plant, access, lifting or hire equipment environments.
