Engineer – Powered Access

Speedy, a leading UK hire provider, is seeking a Powered Access Engineer based in Warrington. The role focuses on the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of powered access equipment at customer sites, ensuring safety and reliability for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, refurbish and repair powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG.
  • Attend emergency breakdown calls alongside scheduled service maintenance.
  • Estimate repair work with precise attention to detail.
  • Fault find and diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings.
  • Support the business unit’s ESG strategy and uphold high standards of safety and quality.

Required Qualifications

  • CAP registration is preferred.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Experience working with powered access equipment.
  • Experience estimating repairs and managing technical tasks.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in reading electronic and hydraulic drawings.
  • Background in powered access engineering.
  • Clear DBS, credit or security clearance may be required.
