Lloyds British, part of the Speedy Hire group, are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Lifting Inspection Engineer to join our growing team. Our highly skilled and qualified Inspection Engineers provide a reliable, responsive and first-class service across the UK, ensuring lifting equipment is safe to use and customers remain fully compliant with their legal obligations.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out lifting equipment inspections
  • Load testing and pull testing activities
  • Occasional destructive testing
  • Inspection of lifting accessories and associated equipment
  • Supporting operations within the rigging loft
  • Producing accurate inspection reports and documentation
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards and company procedures
  • Delivering excellent customer service and technical support to clients

What we're looking for

  • Positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop within the engineering and lifting inspection industry
  • Experience working within the lifting equipment industry
  • LEEA qualifications or working knowledge of LEEA standards
  • Engineering, Mechanical NVQ or City & Guilds qualification desirable but not essential
  • Experience working within a testing or inspection environment
  • Good problem-solving ability with a practical approach
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to share knowledge effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Commitment to supporting the business ESG strategy

Full training will be provided, including opportunities to complete manufacturer and advanced LEEA training courses.
