A rare opportunity has arisen to join the People Development Team. We are recruiting a People Development Specialist who will focus on supporting the continuous growth of Speedy colleagues as a development subject matter expert. In this role, you will be hosting induction programmes, facilitating outcomes from talent and succession planning, conducting training needs analysis, designing, and delivering virtual and in-person training solutions. You will also be contributing to the design and development of external training programmes with a commitment to quality and return on investment.
This is a hybrid working role supporting our Speedy Hire locations in the North predominantly, though travel may be required across the UK and Northern Ireland on occasion. With this hybrid working model at Speedy, we’re empowering our people to balance their time between home, travel, and our locations in a way that works best for them, the team, and the business.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience of developing and delivering engaging people-focused learning and development for leaders, managers, and colleagues within a changing environment
- A track record of operating in a learning & development role with a commercial mindset
- Effective influencing and outstanding presenter skills
- Curious and energised approach to new ideas
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders (Senior leadership team, line managers, colleagues, professional bodies, and suppliers)
- Highly self-motivated with an ability to work without close supervision
- Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering online and classroom training initiatives
- An appreciation of ESG (Environment, Social and Governance)
