We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Warrington team. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will play a key part in keeping our equipment safe, reliable and available for our customers. You will be responsible for electrical fault-finding, repairs and assembly across a wide range of industrial products, including power tools and lifting equipment, ensuring work is prioritised efficiently and completed to the highest standard.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Carrying out electrical fault-finding, repairs and testing on a range of hire equipment.
- Working on equipment operating at 110v and above.
- Assembling, maintaining and preparing equipment to be safely returned to hire.
- Ensuring all repairs are completed in line with company procedures and compliance standards.
- Accurately completing service and repair documentation using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
- Supporting workshop efficiency by prioritising workload in line with operational requirements.
- Maintaining excellent health and safety standards within the workshop.
- Working closely with depot, engineering and operations teams to maximise equipment availability.
- Delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
- Actively supporting Speedys ESG Strategy through safe, sustainable and responsible working practices.
What you'll need:
- Previous experience working with 110v phase and above, ideally within the hire industry or a similar engineering environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and quality of work.
- A commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
