Join Speedy - the UK's leading hire provider. Speedy supplies the widest range of tools, specialist equipment and plant to support every job. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager to play a vital role within operations at our Warrington depot.

In this role, you will lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers to deliver a high-quality, consistent and cost-effective service while ensuring optimal use of assets. You will ensure KPIs are achieved, equipment is ready for hire, and all Health & Safety and Environmental standards are met at all times.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing and developing a team of multi-skilled engineers
  • Ensuring KPIs are achieved and equipment availability targets are met
  • Overseeing testing, servicing and repair activities across the workshop
  • Maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental regulations
  • Ensuring statutory training requirements are completed
  • Supporting operational efficiency and contributing to our ESG - Decade to Deliver strategy

What you'll need:

  • Previous supervisory experience (ideally within hire, engineering or similar)
  • Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with a hands-on approach
  • Formal engineering qualifications (desirable)
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
