Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, 07:00 to 16:00
Based in Glasgow as an Apprentice Rail Engineer , you will be an important part of depot operations and a key player in keeping the workshop productive meaning equipment is always available for our customers to ensure their experience with us is positive and we continue to be the best hire company in the industry.
You will take part in our structured four year training programme. During this time you will be trained by our knowledgeable and experienced colleagues along with attending block placements with our college provider.
Programme Overview:
Year 1/2: SVQ Level 2 SCQF 5 in Plant Mechanics
Year 3: SVQ Level 3 SCQF 6 in Plant Mechanics
Year 4: Based in Glasgowfull time learning from our experienced engineers and consolidating your skills ready to be signed off as a fully qualified engineer.

We are looking for apprentices who:
- Are ambitious, driven and willing to learn and develop
- Are comfortable attending block learning placements at other sites in the country and learning both on the job and in a classroom/practical learning environment
- Are comfortable from being away from home if asked to travel
- Have a natural interest in machinery, mechanics and electrics
- Are comfortable working at height
- Can be team players
- Adapt to a fast paced working environment
- Show good communication skills
- Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
