As a 3.5-tonne Van Driver, you will start your journey in the fuel distribution industry! You'll gain valuable driving skills and certifications, including ADR for hazardous materials and tachograph training. After 12 months, you can work towards your HGV license and become a fuel tanker driver.
We offer competitive pay and growth opportunities and seek long-term employees who are committed to their careers. Candidates with an HGV licence would not be suitable for this position.
Your Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne van, ensuring timely deliveries to various locations.
- Adhere to all safety and legal regulations while on the road.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all documentation is precise.
- Assist with loading and unloading fuel, using the appropriate safety gear.
- Collaborate with our logistics team to plan efficient routes and schedules.
- Follow company policies when handling hazardous materials during transport.
Salary Information:
- Starting salary: £27,000 (includes funded ADR and Tachograph training).
- Increases to £33,000 upon obtaining your HGV license.
- Additional training for fuel tanker driving and annual salary increases of £3,000 for three years.
What We’re Looking For:
- A valid UK driving license (manual) with a minimum of two years of commercial driving experience.
- Candidates should be able to show a consistent and stable work history.
- A maximum of 3 points with no driving endorsements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness is required, as this role involves manual handling and heavy lifting.
- The ability to work independently while effectively managing your time under tight schedules.
