At Speedy Freight, we know that great businesses start with great people.

As our network continues to grow, we're looking for a hands-on Learning & Development Partner to help develop our people, strengthen our management capability and support the success of our branches and franchise network.

This isn't a role where you'll spend all your time behind a desk or simply deliver training that's already been created.

You'll have real ownership of our learning and development offering across Speedy Freight and Speedy Parcels, designing and delivering training, coaching managers and franchisees, and helping turn learning into better performance.

From welcoming new franchisees into the network to developing our Management Development Programme, you'll play a key role in making sure our people have the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed.

If you enjoy getting out into the business, building relationships and seeing the difference your work makes first-hand, we'd love to hear from you!

Own and deliver our L&D plan across Speedy Freight and Speedy Parcels, ensuring learning supports our business priorities and people strategy.

Lead our Management Development Programme, helping managers build their leadership, coaching and people management skills.

Design and deliver engaging training, from face-to-face workshops and management development sessions to onboarding and operational training.

Support franchisee onboarding and development, working directly with franchise owners to help them understand our processes, develop their capabilities and get the best from their businesses.

Get out into the network, visiting branches and franchisees across the UK to deliver training, provide coaching and understand where further support is needed.

Work closely with managers and stakeholders to identify skills gaps, understand performance challenges and develop practical learning solutions that make a difference.

Measure the impact of learning, using feedback, performance data and learner outcomes to understand what's working and identify opportunities to improve.

Continuously improve our L&D offering, bringing fresh ideas, developing new programmes and making learning relevant, accessible and effective across the business.

We're looking for someone who can combine great people skills with a practical, commercially aware approach to learning and development.

You'll ideally have: Experience in a Learning & Development Partner, L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar hands-on training role.

A strong track record of designing and delivering training, rather than focusing solely on coordination or administration.

Experience delivering face-to-face training, facilitating workshops and coaching managers or operational teams.

Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, building relationships and influencing people to embrace learning and development.

The ability to identify development needs and turn them into practical training solutions.

Experience measuring training effectiveness and using feedback or performance data to improve learning outcomes.

A proactive, organised approach, with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of your priorities.

A flexible approach to travel, as regular visits to branches and franchisees across the UK are a key part of the role.

Experience within logistics, transport, franchising or another multi-site operational environment would be a real advantage, but it's not essential.

What's important is that you understand how to engage different audiences, build credibility and deliver training that works in the real world.

Real ownership: Shape and develop our L&D offering rather than simply maintaining existing programmes.

Visible impact: See first-hand how your work supports our people, managers, franchisees and wider business performance.

Variety: Work across two growing businesses, with different teams, audiences and development needs.

Strong relationships: Partner with managers, franchise owners and senior stakeholders to make a genuine difference.

Room to innovate: Bring your ideas, challenge the way we do things and help us continually improve.

A people-first culture: Be part of a team that recognises the importance of developing people and helping them reach their potential.

We specialize in delivering innovative solutions and exceptional services to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we strive to exceed expectations and drive success in every project we undertake.
