Overview
The National Account Exec plays a key role in supporting the Sales and NPD team to deliver sales volume, revenue and margin targets. Working closely with the team, the role focuses on account administration, commercial analysis and ensuring excellent day to day account management and customer service. This is a business wide role, which requires collaborative working across all business functions.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with the team to project manage trade shows & customer events.
- Set up and maintain customer data including pricing, promotions, terms and product listings.
- Support the NPD team by processing sample requests and act as the first point of contact for day to day Sales queries escalating where appropriate.
- Develop and manage relationships with key people within the organisation ensuring alignment exists across functions between Sales, NPD, Operations and Logistics thus ensuring delivery of great service for our customers.
- Support forecast accuracy by liaising with Planning and Supply Chain teams on base and promotional volumes.
- Report progress against key business objectives on a weekly basis; specifically sales performance versus forecast and budget, NPD and business development projects and promotional plans.
- Work cross functionally to ensure that customer service issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
- Proactively identify opportunities within accounts to grow sales and margins.
- End to end co-ordination and planning for customer events from brief through to delivery on the day.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties that will be required from time to time in support of the Sales and NPD team.

- Experience in sales, commercial or account supporting role.
- Driven, resilient and keen to develop a career in FMCG sales.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication.
- Confident user of excel.
- Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
- Experience in FMCG business.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of retail dynamics.
- Degree level education or equivalent commercial experience.
