This role is ideal for someone with agency experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume press office environment and enjoys turning opportunities into headlines.

Our PR Consultants sit at the heart of busy account teams, delivering impactful campaigns, strategic communications and always‑on press office activity that drives meaningful results. You’ll be a trusted day‑to‑day client contact, helping to shape communications programmes, build media relationships and deliver standout coverage. Working closely with senior colleagues and mentoring junior team members, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the momentum of a high‑profile consumer brand.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a dynamic press office environment and enjoys juggling multiple priorities. You’ll be comfortable responding to media enquiries, spotting opportunities as they emerge, managing stakeholder expectations and delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines. You’ll understand how newsrooms operate, know what makes a story land and enjoy the challenge of keeping a major consumer brand front of mind.

You will spend your time:

  • Acting as a trusted day‑to‑day contact for clients and building strong working relationships
  • Delivering creative consumer PR campaigns that support client objectives
  • Managing busy press office activity, including reactive media enquiries, stakeholder requests and proactive story generation
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, influencers and content creators
  • Identifying newsjacking opportunities, emerging trends and cultural moments that create cut‑through
  • Developing engaging content including press releases, media pitches, feature articles, opinion pieces, briefing documents and social content
  • Contributing fresh ideas and creative thinking to campaigns and brainstorms
  • Supporting and coaching junior team members to help them develop and succeed
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated communications programmes
  • Supporting new business opportunities and agency growth where appropriate

Skills we're looking for:

  • Experience working within a PR agency environment
  • Experience working in a busy, high‑volume consumer press office
  • Strong media relations skills and an instinct for what makes a great story
  • Creative thinking and problem‑solving ability
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management and client handling skills
  • Understanding of how modern newsrooms and media channels operate
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team
  • Friendly, professional and proactive attitude
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A genuine passion for consumer communications

What you get when you are part of the team:

  • A competitive salary that reflects your talent
  • 25 days’ holiday to start with
  • Office closed over Christmas – and no, it doesn’t come out of your holiday
  • 3% pension to help you plan ahead
  • Healthcare cashback scheme to keep you feeling your best
  • Flexible, hybrid working – because we get that life isn’t 9 to 5
  • Comprehensive training and development to help you grow your career
  • Performance‑based rewards for great work
  • Wellbeing support that goes beyond the basics – including charity days and mental health resources
  • Celebrations, shout‑outs and team recognition – we love a win, and we love to celebrate it
