We’re seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Head of Corporate Communications to join our Business & Corporate division. This is a role for someone who thrives on building trusted client relationships, driving new business and developing a specialist discipline within a high-performing agency. You are likely to be an Account Director or an Associate Director looking to make that next step on your career.
Initially, this position will be split 60% client leadership and activation, 40% new business development, with a clear pathway to evolve into a more new-business-focused role over time. Based in London, you’ll play a central role in strengthening corporate communications capability across Speed and the wider MISSION Group, forming connections, unlocking cross-agency opportunities and deepening relationships with existing clients who can benefit from our corporate comms and reputation management expertise. This role is London-based, with travel to our Bristol HQ one day per week (expensed).
Our Head of Corporate Communications will report directly to the Divisional Director of the Business & Corporate division, leading from the front with clients while driving growth across the agency and wider group. This is a hands-on senior role. You’ll own senior client relationships, shape strategic communications programmes and help lead account teams to deliver exceptional work. You’ll also be instrumental in identifying and converting new opportunities, writing proposals, leading pitches and confidently presenting to prospective clients. You’ll collaborate closely with the Divisional Director to build pipeline, strengthen credentials and position corporate communications as a key growth area. With access to the wider MISSION network, you’ll actively seek opportunities to support existing group clients with corporate communications and reputation management expertise. You’ll also play a vital role in developing the team, line managing and mentoring colleagues, contributing to divisional planning and helping shape a culture where people do their best work.

Skills We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in corporate communications, B2B PR or reputation management within an agency environment
- A proven track record of leading complex corporate accounts and building senior client relationships
- Strong commercial instinct and demonstrable new business success, from pipeline development to pitch delivery
- Confidence presenting at senior level, both independently and as part of a wider team
- Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable staying close to the detail
- Experience managing and developing junior team members
- Strong networker, comfortable building relationships across offices and agencies
- Pace and resilience, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Professionalism, integrity and meticulous attention to detail
- Happy to be based in London and travel to our Bristol HQ one day a week
