Speechify is a text-to-speech app that makes it easy for the world to access information. 20+ million people use our Google Chrome extension, web app, iOS app, and Android app. Our mission is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning.
Our users include students, professionals, and productivity enthusiasts, many with learning differences like dyslexia and ADHD. Speechify allows turning any book, document, or website into audio for listening on the go—whether in the car, doing chores, or exercising. It powers platforms like Medium, the Star Tribune, and The Direct, and enables easy addition of text-to-speech to websites.
Founded in 2017 by Cliff Weitzman, who has dyslexia, Speechify aims to eliminate barriers to learning through advanced TTS technology, enabling users to read faster and retain more information.
Our goal is to ensure reading is never a barrier to learning. We have grown to over 100 team members globally, including former leaders from Snapchat, Apple, Spotify, Amazon, and Uber, all committed to ownership, speed, learning, and empowering users.

To make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning, with over 50 million users leveraging Speechify’s products to convert various reading materials into audio for faster, more effective reading and comprehension. Our products include iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome Extension, and Web App, recognized by Google and Apple awards.
