Overview

Senior Software Engineer – Core Experiences Team responsible for building and maintaining foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, identify trade‑offs, and deliver solutions via cross‑platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality to improve performance such as faster loading and intelligent parsing.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and scheduled jobs using Kotlin.

Qualifications

  • Systems thinking and a focus on end‑to‑end design and simplicity.
  • Speed in generating ideas and making decisions on what can ship now versus needs time.
  • Collaboration skills to work with designers, marketers, and PMs.
  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and familiarity with Java.
